Dessange VoxBox

I can't help but feel incredibly lucky to test out this VoxBox. I've struggled with my hair over the years. Recently I turned to TIGI Bed Head, and it only worked for a little bit before my hair would loose its bounce and shine.

 

 

 

With the line of Dessange I received, my hair has not been this amazing since I was a teenager! When I first used the Shampoo, I immediately could feel results. The conditioner smells great and leaves my hair feeling very soft. I was surprised when I saw that there was oil in the box. I've never used it before, due to thinking my hair would be greasy at some point during my day. That is not the case! I usually will use 3-4 pumps and run it through my hair (focusing on the ends mainly).

 

When I was using TIGI, I would rarely get compliments on my hair. Now it will turn heads (in a good way! Lol.) I wish that the product was cheaper though. I'm use to going onto Amazon and buying my Shampoo and Conditioner for less than $30. And those are the big bottles! When I got this product to test, I quickly went onto Amazon to see the price. I was blown away!! Each product is a little over $24. Unfortunately, I can't justify spending over $50 on shampoo and conditioner (the oil looks like it will last me a year). (Sad Face)

 

 

 

I will however, HIGHLY recommend the Dessange Product line. My hair is full again and incredibly soft. Hopefully one day there will be a HUGE sale and I will stock up on these.

Go VoxBox

I'm so happy that I was selected again to test out more products from Influenster! This box was all about being on the Go and a little on the comfortable/relaxing side.

This was the biggest box I have received from Influenster so far. I was in for a big surprise! (I don't usually check the cheat sheet or their Facebook page.)

Muller Yogurt - $1.49

Unfortunately for me, I couldn't find this product at my local grocery stores. So I wasn't able to test out this product so far.. However, when I visit my folks soon, their store does!! Not sure why mine doesn't.. but all well.

Blue Diamond Almonds, Blueberry - $6.99 for a larger bag

I was only able to try a few of these before my hubby took them and ate them. I liked the taste, not my usual Almond choice, but I'm glad I did get to try something I wouldn't have had the chance to.

Hubby LOVED them. He is insisting that we buy some next time we go to Walmart. 

ProFoot Pedi-Rock - $6.99

When I first took this out of the box, I thought to myself that this won't help my poor feet, oh but was I wrong!!! I used this one time and bam! My feet were really soft. I used this before bed and put lotion on my feet and then wore some socks to bed... I had Flip Flop ready feet in less than 8 hours! I recommend this to ANYONE with ANY type of feet. My feet aren't cracked or anything, but from wearing the shoes I do and walking as much as I do.. this helped bring them back to looking like they do after a pedicure.

ProFoot Triad Orthotic, Women's - $6.99

Best insert I've worn. I walk a lot and go hiking, these have made my shoes so much more comfortable than they've ever been. I'm so grateful to have received these! Hiking has never been easier.

VitaminShoppe Next Step - Shaker $7.99. Mixes - $24.99 for a full size

Wow! I've never been a fan of powdered drinks but these were amazing!! I went out and bought more after I finished these with my $5 off coupon. The Fresh Berries tasted like Captain Crunch berries, almost. I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to stay active. These will help you feel full and give you the right energy that you need to get through your day.

Aqua Spa Bath Soak - $9.99

I was a skeptic at first, but after using this, I'm a believer! This absolutely soaked my achy muscle pain away! Loved the scent, I tried the one with Lavender, really felt like I was at the spa. It makes your skin so soft, the water even feels silky. Very affordable as well. I would recommend this to my anyone who wants a spa day in the comforts of their own home.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance - $10.99

I'm not to keen on trying anything that is scented, so unfortunately I didn't get around to trying out this product. I was reading one day on Influensters Facebook page that many other people who got this box did not like that these were scented. I gave them to my mother again since she said she'll use them, but I didn't ask for her review on them again.

Like I said in the beginning, this box was amazing. It had so much in it that I loved that I wish I could just buy everything again and again. I will keep buying the Next Step products for sure. Until next time!!! 

German Pancakes

A friend of mine gave me this delicious recipe. You should definitely try it!

3 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup heavy cream or Half and Half
2 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1 tbs melted butter
lemon wedges
maple syrup
sliced berries

Pre-heat oven to 475 degrees. Beat eggs, mix in cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla till sugar is dissolved. Sift in flour mix till smooth. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Coat bottom of baking dish with butter bake and  14-16 minutes until golden brown on top and dark brown around the edges. It will be very puffy. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and put fruit on top. Drizzle with syrup and squeeze lemon over the top. You may substitute the heavy cream with half and half. Don't forget to top it with some whipped cream as well!!

Influenster Uni VoxBox

Hello again!!!

I was lucky enough to be selected my Influenster to test a few more products from their Uni VoxBox.

In the box I was given quiet a few GREAT items to test out. Lets get started with my review!

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure - $5.99 value

I haven't tried these ones just yet. (I did my nails the day before I got my box.) While I'm not a big fan of pink, I will be trying these out next week. I have tried the Kiss Press-on Manicure from a previous box. They lasted a couple of days, but not the full week they say they will. Hopefully these ones will last.

They are very easy to apply. They include all that you'll need, including a cleaning pad for your nails. The instructions are very easy to understand which is always a big plus!

(EDIT) I finally tried these guys out. Unfortunately for me, even with buffing my nails and pressing them down like they instruct, the next morning I was already having my index finger nail coming off. I rebuffed my nail and put on a new one, but it kept happening, so I gave up with them. While I'm sure that it could have very well just been my nails acting up (not sure how), I probably won't try these on my own. I'll stick to regular polishes and my real nails.

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation Classic - $7.69 value

I can't say enough good things about this product! It goes on super easy with a brush or even your finger, goes on evenly, doesn't rub off like other foundations have for me, and it has never looked cakey on my face. I was SO SOOO happy when I opened up my box to see this. I was always told to cover my face with foundation.. with Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, a little goes a LOOOONG way and you can use it as a spotting foundation. While I've only been using it for about a month now, I still have a LOT left in the bottle. This is a product I will definately buy again and again.

 

 

NYC Expert Last Lip Color - $2.99 value

 

I wanted to love this, I really did. I'm not a fan of anything pink on me, granted I have found a few lip sticks that do look alright on me, but this one just didn't work. I really wish that they had sent out a Red lipstick instead. I do have a friend who LOVED it though and kept saying that it lasted throughtout the day for her, which is surprising! I've spent over $10 on lipstick colors before just to have to reapply it in a few hours.

 

Pilot Acroball Pure White Retractable Hybrid Gel Ball Point Pen - $10.49 value (5 pack)

 

I always have trouble finding pens that I like to use. Sometimes I'm in a Fine tip mood or a fat gel mood. This one, fits both of them. Doesn't smear for my lefty friends and writes smoothly. While sometimes I'd like it to be a little thicker, but I'm so happy to have a pen that I love using daily.





 

Red Rose Real Tea - $4.99 value

 

I've never been a fan of tea, other than Brisk Ice Tea. I was pleasently surprised when I got this in my box and I liked it. I wish that my local grocery stores carried it, but hopefully I can make this last a little bit longer until they do.

Influenster - Optic White VoxBox

I recently received a VoxBox from Influenster for testing purposes.
This particular box included all that is in the photo below.

I received a Colgate Optic White Toothbrush with a built in Whitening Pen, Colgate Optic White Toothpaste and a few coupons.

I've been using it daily for the last two weeks. I have definately noticed that my teeth are more white than with using other products.

I am very impressed with how quickly it happened as well. Colgate states that you can have whiter teeth in just 2 days if you use the Pen, Tooth Paste and their Mouth wash. Even though I didn't have their mouth wash, even in the 2 days I noticed a slight difference.

I will definately be purchasing this product again. Wonderful product for a great price, I can't go wrong!!

November Barkbox 2013

This week we received our Barkbox. Both Remi and Cinder were excited!

Once I opened the box, I had a bit of a hard time keeping Remi away from the toy.

PetSafe Pogo Plush Dog Toy - $12.52

Perfect toy for Remi. Cinder doesn't like it too much because of the extra 'legs'. But the size is perfect for his size.

Best part is, that if Cinder does start to like it and destroys it, there is no stuffing to pick up!! Love that!

Not a great picture of him, but he went after it. Loves it. Lol.

Bocce's Bakery Truffle Mac & Cheese - $7.87

These treats have skim mozzarella, and lean turkey bacon in it. I just love that they keep our dogs diets in mind. Best part is, they don't know the difference!

Nootie Yumzies Duck Jerky Chews Natural Grain Free Sweet Potato Flavor Dog Treats - $15.15

These are perfect little treats to break into smaller pieces. Remi and Cinder prefer these over any other treats recently.

Twistix Vanilla Mint Flavor Dental Chews For Dogs - $7.57

While these are a little hard, Remi loves them. Cinder will spit it out a few times before she will eat it. But my gosh, their breath smells SO much better.



All in all this months Barkbox was a good haul. Based of Amazon's current prices today, the grand total was $43.11 and all we paid was $29.99. Barkbox is a great Monthly Subscription.

October 2013 Barkbox

Unfortunately I haven't been able to update this in almost a month!!

I'm so sorry about that.


We received our Barkbox towards the end of the month. I wasn't expecting it to take so long. However, once I came home from work and brought in the box, both Remi and Cinder knew it was for them!!

I couldn't even take pictures before they both jumped on the chance to open it and get what was inside.

Inside there was a glow in the dark ball (mainly for Cinder as Remi's mouth is a tad too small), and a odd looking blue Durable toy for both of them. They also included 3 types of treats. All made in America. One was a Rabbit chew stick. The others were dried Goat Livers which they LOVED and some treats to share at the dog park.

All in all for $29.99 ($19.99 for our first box), it was well worth it.
